Motion Indonesia Opens Cutting-Edge Facilities In Balikpapan

The Chief Executive Officer of Motion Asia Pacific Heath Fitzpatrick and Motion Indonesia President Director Satria Ascita Jaya cut the ceremonial ribbon for the grand opening of Motion’s new warehouse and workshop facilities in Balikpapan on October 20th, 2025.
The event began with a traditional dance performance, followed by welcoming remarks from Heath and Satria and company overviews from Technical Services Engineer Rino Imada and Drive Line Product Specialist Technical Services Zaky Maulana Fikri.
“We have been committed to Indonesia for over 15 years,” said Heath. “We continue to see Indonesia as an exciting developing economy and we are committed here at Motion to continue contributing and to continue to invest here in Indonesia,” said Heath.
Our new facility here at Balikpapan is evidence of our commitment and continued investment.
“We are extremely excited about the future, and excited to contribute to the community here in Balikpapan.”
Heath also welcomed valued customers, local government officials, and trusted Motion partners to the opening, and acknowledged the support of key partners, suppliers and vendors, as well as the Motion Indonesia team for their dedication and amazing effort in establishing this new facility.
The new workshop's main capabilities primarily involve drive shaft-related tasks such as repair, fabrication, and reconditioning, and it also handles fluid power assembly and hydraulic work.
